Headmods: Is there any way to edit them?

Sometimes blendshapes alone just wont cut it, but the bones themselves dont 'function' either. Im referring to facial animations, specifically on cards that uses headmods. The character creator cant do jack because of headmods too, or at the very least not when it comes to certain headmods.

Is there a way around this? Or someway to make changes to the headmod itself directly?

It's a bit tricky because headmods usually don't fully utilize the facial bones
Because they are completely controlled by blendshapes
So they usually only fully work when controlled by the expression control

Some old or poorly made headmods lack a lot of expressions or just have them all in disarray
The only way I can think of to "fix" them would be to have the head mesh along with its corresponding shapekeys and edit them to match what the game should recognize... But it's not something that seems really easy or quick to do

Dang, so bones are out of the question. Is there a way to mess with headmod's BS values/sliders, then? Maybe thru blender or something like that?
Also is expression control a mod, per se?

Not exactly looking to fix anything, really. I just wanna mess about with the sliders values, and maybe some morphs/textures placements as well. Make them fit my tastes better.

What do you think?

There is a way to do that, yes...
But you need mod making knowledge, sb3ugs-blender knowledge and headmod making knowledge to do it
If you're interested, in the official koi server they have guides to begin with all this stuff

Jesus i didnt mean to sound that picky lmao. Just needed some readsjutments to the eyebrows, and their BS sliders/articulations maybe, but nothing major. Heck maybe its just down to simple numerical values more than anything,...No re-morphs or texture refit/fiddle-diddle required. (fucking skyrim, man...)

If its like a video tutorial, i think i cna follow. Maybe some online translator work if its texts are involved, in any capacity. But yeah like you said, its mostly down to observation and following instructions.

Where can i find the guide? Really im just as dumb as the next guy when it comes to these things if not moreso lmao but the least i can do is take a peek, and see how it goes from there.

Also the way in which the shapekeys are made and modified to match the expressions within the game as best as possible
These things can vary depending on the author and the resources they intend to use, so this is the best basis for understanding it
