Hi guys, Im here to ask for tips on character customization. Its regarding the eye. As far as I know right now (rather new to KK), you can either edit the eye using in game customizations, use eye overlays, or change the Main Hitomi (eye) texture in the Material Editor. The card Im trying to edit (By Kikikumori) uses the Material Editor method. I'd like to use different eye overlays for different outfits, but the main Eye Texture will always go over the eye overlay (It shows up when we first load the eye overlay, but then the Main Eye Texture goes on top once we switch outfits back). Is there a way for me to use different eye overlays without the need to export the Main Eye Texture and loading it manually onto each outfit?

First, try removing the maintex from the eyes using Material Editor, then use Eyes Overlays; it should work.

Any modifications you make with the Material Editor will take precedence in the hierarchy of modifications made with the game's options (not the Material Editor). Even if you modify and save afterward, the changes will still appear. As you mentioned, you can search for the iris as Hitomi, then simply reset, save the card, and reload it to apply the changes.

And if you want to use different irises, eyebrows, sclera, and eyeliner for different outfits, you can use the facial overlay settings in the head section. Don't touch the Material Editor, and use a small pupil so it doesn't show below the iris.png you want to use for the different outfits you wish to modify.

I see, yeah Im aware of using overlays, but I was hoping there was a method to force overlays ontop of Material Editor settings so I dont have to apply it onto each outfit. Still thanks for the tip and guide!

I see, so Material Editor always take priority when it comes to overlays, got it thanks. Was hoping there was an option to toggle Overlays to take priority. Im just gonna export the eye file and apply it onto different outfits then. Thanks for the explanation and tip, appreciate it!
