Unfortunately a lot of paywallers lack the required common sense to manage themselves around this space. I'm not sure how many of you remember this, but in the past a certain E****ship threatened to release a leaker's credit card info (they made a public threat then shared his full name on discord to warn others from his closed circle). Now, whether they actually had that CC info or this was just a dumb boast is moot, almost every country has laws against fraud and blackmail to keep this from happening, if the leaker lived in Europe the GDPR alone would've gotten E****ship's ass. Imagine if anyone with any sort of authority decided to actually investigate this, and saw all of E****ship's cunny content (easily available through a google search) as well as all of the copyrighted content he sells in the form of cards and videos? He should be thankful no one cares enough.

There are few things dumber than trying to claim ownership of and sell shit you don't own, and yet paywallers still find a way.

They also lack the foresight that, while a chinese citizen would never have to worry about some US court trying to enforce copyright on them, the copyright holder can go and get them banned from X, Patreon, Gumroad, Fanbox, Pixiv, etc. and sequestrated to China-only internet

A ton of them think they can get away with it because they live in Asia, it really is that simple
