PSA Careful with scams

Starting in early March, Discord is planning to start requiring "some users" to verify their age. Apparently "vast majority" of people will not be affected, but nobody knows what that means exactly.
Now, while they say that they do not store any of your photos and IDs, they have already been hacked and according to Discord 70k+ IDs were stolen (the hackers claim they stole orders of magnitude more). Because of this we recommend that you DO NOT send them your ID, and if you must do a face scan it's best to use more "creative" means than expose your IRL face.
Remember that once you share your data on the internet, it will stay on the internet forever whether you like it or not. Scammers, advertisers and other malicious actors will certainly love to have it.
Speaking of scammers, beware of a new scam related to age verification. If you are asked to verify your age by someone, or if you see a verification request like the one shown below, DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK. Nobody will ever ask you to prove your age, unless they want to scam you!
