He just want money, hard to tell about the machiavellian part.
The problem is that nobody really showing the real face intentions. We all know they came here to somewhat stop the leaks. Honest people will straight up tell you their actual real intentions, but deep down that's what they want, and they only express themselves that way because of insecurity. Expressing their true desires in the way their thoughts actually are, would give them a worse reputation than simply asking them to please stop and bend their knees on us.
Like I said, it's good that they had their "redemption arc," but stop thinking there's any connection, any friendship, or anything. They're not friends, and they don't care about your existence. They don't care if you can't or don't want to pay for their products; they only care that you don't operate outside their bubble of control, as if that means "lost customer". The only people they have to answer/care to are their followers, not us. Acting outraged because there are leaks here despite releasing free shit is like being outraged that you can't breathe on the moon despite to put perfume on a moon rock.
